Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SecureScanr ("the Service") at securescanr.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses the Service.
In shortWe look at what your site shows the public. We never attack it.
Description of Service
SecureScanr is an automated web security analysis tool. It performs passive, read-only inspection of publicly accessible HTTP headers, TLS/SSL certificates, DNS records, cookie attributes, cross-origin isolation headers and page-level integrity signals for a URL you supply, and returns a grade across 14 checks in 6 groups. The Service does not perform active penetration testing, exploit code, or any form of intrusive attack.
In shortScan your own sites, or sites you are engaged to test. Nothing else.
Permitted & Prohibited Use
The masthead is the whole of it: scan what you own. In practice that means you may use SecureScanr only against web properties you control or hold explicit written authorisation to test. Breach of the right-hand column may result in immediate termination of access, including API keys, and legal action where warranted.
You may
Audit the security of your own web properties
Test under a signed penetration-testing scope of work
Run internal reviews for your own security team
Report to clients within an engagement's agreed scope
Research publicly available security configurations
You may not
Scan any site you neither own nor are authorised to test
Use results to facilitate an attack on anyone
Harvest data or resell scan results without attribution
Circumvent rate limits, quota, or the API key system
Automate abusive request volumes against the API
In shortWe do not keep the URLs you scan. We do keep your key, email and quota if you pay.
Data Privacy
We do not store the URLs you scan or the contents of scan results — each scan exists only for the duration of the request. PDF reports are generated on-demand and are not retained server-side once returned to you. If you hold a Pro or Agency API key, we retain your email address and usage quota so the key keeps working; Agency customer emails are encrypted at rest.
The Privacy Policy opens with a full inventory of every item we hold and for how long, including how your IP address is used for rate limiting, payment routing, and — as a one-way monthly hash, never the address itself — the free-scan limit.
In shortA good grade is evidence, not a guarantee. It is not a penetration test.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SecureScanr does not warrant that scan results are exhaustive, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Automated scans cannot substitute for a full manual security assessment or penetration test conducted by a qualified professional.
A high score or passing grade on SecureScanr does not guarantee that a website is free from vulnerabilities. Security is a continuous process, not a point-in-time measurement.
In shortIf something goes wrong, our liability is capped at what you paid us.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SecureScanr and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
In shortOur site is ours. Your scan results are yours — use them in client reports.
Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding on securescanr.com are the property of SecureScanr and are protected under applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission.
Scan results generated by the Service for a URL you own or are authorised to test are yours to use freely, including in client-facing reports.
In shortIndian law, Indian courts.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
In shortIf these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the effective date at the top of this page to reflect changes.
Scan what you own. Everything else is detail.
